He was a very happy dog and although his last couple of weeks were difficult he didn't suffer.

He's been a great friend to us all in the family and he'll be sadly missed. More so by Michelle, he was her shadow, always there wherever she went, if she wasn't there he'd do his best to get in your way protesting the fact she was missing. She loved him so much and she told me yesterday he loved her more, I find this hard to believe seeing the devastation his loss has brought to her. I was with him when he went to sleep, it was very peaceful, and in his last moments, he had comfort from one of his Hoomans.

Losing a pet is difficult, You'd think it's just a dog but they're so much more, so much, especially when you have a hole in your life once they're gone. He'd been with us years, fourteen years! was always there to say hello when you got home, even if you'd only been out for a minute. He'd come and tell you at 3:00p.m. daily, now it's time to feed me. If you didn't he'd do his best to let you know he wasn't happy.

He got under my feet all the time, and he made some pretty bad smells in addition to his bad breath. He barked at me and growled constantly when I told him to leave, he ignored me and would go to Michelle as if to tell her to have a word with me. I'll miss all that, it always made me smile how he was the top dog and not one of us. Michelle was the pack leader in my eyes, but not really, this little ball of white fur and bad breath was, he ruled the house. If I told him to leave, after the growls he'd leave and sneak back so I wouldn't see him, I rarely did see him come back, still don't know how he did it.

I wanted to mark Zac's life with us in my blog, as the first post in a long time. It's a shame it's such a sad post to make. We moved to the Isle of Wight this year and we've had such a happy time until now. I know time will heal and life will go on as it does. Our memories will be happy ones of Zac's time here with us and his life with us. Snoozing, snoring, dreaming in his house, and going the wrong way around the field in the search for home.

He left behind his little dog pal, Hugo. He's so sad, I don't know what to do for him, he thinks we're going to bring Zac back from where we took him. He's always missed him when he was out for haircuts, but he always came back. Hope time will heel this for him too.

God gives us many blessings in life, and our pets are blessings too, When you look at the love they give so unconditionally, none more so than White Dog. What a dog, a real friend who loved us and we loved him.

Rest in Peace Zac.

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0Albert Cottage, Alverstone Rd, East Cowes PO32 6NP, UK50.733929 -1.256478450.732570875144987 -1.2586241672119141 50.73528712485502 -1.2543326327880859tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23024573.post-54029999799833389012020-06-01T21:34:00.000+00:002020-06-01T21:34:01.589+00:00Kiosk Number 6 - Project BeginsThe drawings are nearly ready and the first lengths of timber arrived today, I can begin measuring out and build the base for the phone box this week. The base will allow me to bottom out all my dimensions for the drawings. The remaining wood comes next week and I have some time booked off work to have fun building. I'll resurrect my dads old wood plane, not been used in 25 years or more.

The drawings using MS Visio and actual measurements from my pals real phone box are looking pretty good. The replica I'm building should look like the real thing, however, some of the wall thicknesses will be less. We'll have to see how it turns out. I'm still thinking on the window methods, do I do individual windows or one pane covered by the framework. We shall see.
I'm sure mum and dad will do a great job, a new life begins right here, things change, things get to be fun. As a Grandad, as young fit and spritely as I am, I look forward to doing some cool stuff. I'm already planning his first electric bike, he'll be the fastest 2 years old in town.

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I'm sure his mum and dad will be all about the mollycoddle but we can't have any of that, can we? Exciting times ...

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Baby born in lockdown, at a time that the world is changing, for the better who knows?

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">He'll probably never use cash, notes and coins will more than likely be extinct by the time he's able to go in a shop, mind you, there probably won't be any of those either, unless we mean coffee shops and meeting places. A world of virtual meetings, holograms and 3D and atomic printers. You may laugh, you know its coming, automation in the world, driverless cars and trips into outer space. He's got some cool things to look forward to. The Electric bike for starters...
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23024573.post-48681049749158245852020-04-05T17:47:00.000+00:002020-04-05T17:48:18.995+00:00Palm Sunday

Day 20 something of lockdown, watching the news today the deaths from COVID-19 are on the increase. The weather has been great this weekend and I can't believe people insist on gathering in parks and open spaces, despite the rise in deaths and the spread of the virus. The weather brings you out but do what you need, get the exercise, stay away from others and go home and stay there. Before long I fear .GOV will be forced to lock down and stop people going out at all.

It's scary times for everyone, people are dying, the NHS heroes are having to handle these deaths every day and people are dying alone. We gotta stay home to stay safe so people stop dying and we beat it.

When we've beaten it we can all go out and have a great party, there will be a legacy left by this and that will be people knowing one and other and looking out for each other. We're in it together, we've always been in it together, life, that is. Let's see what happens on the other side. We'll look back on these times for years, learning lessons and consigning this to human history.

When Noah came through the floods, God said I'll show a rainbow so you all know I'm not doing this ever again. The Rainbow is a sign of hope, these days for sure. When I've been out and about doing my daily walk, you can see them in the windows, drawn by the Children of the household. Behind each rainbow is a set of parents, trying their best to keep the kids safe, interested and occupied. Parents are the teachers now. The real teachers are doing their bit to share stuff online, lessons and assignments. Keep the learning going guys.

So thinking ahead, when the Virus is beaten, we'll need to regenerate the economy, get the shops open, the factories and services back in place. Make good jobs, lasting jobs and allow everyone to socialise again. Can this COVID 19 experience really spur a different world on the other side? I do hope for this, the world to be a better place, peace in our time, everyone respecting each other and looking out for one another.

There's even a new leader of the opposition, let's see him doing his job to question Government so we can go forward with a better society. The debt we'll be carrying will have impact for years. We'll need good government, I can't wait to see it all unfold. Perhaps our new found united society will change the political future. I do hope it does ..

I'll wrap this here, I'm cooking tea in between typing this. Here is a Rainbow I found online. Hope for us all. God Bless on this here Palm Sunday.. Hosanna, Amen

Marking the day I found out I'm becoming a Grand Daddy again. Number 1 and Hannah are having a baby. Who'd have thought it? Well, me actually, I predicted it, it wasn't difficult to predict if you actually watched their life though. <span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Changes they've experienced lately definitely push towards them making this decision. They've even gone out and bought an old man car, I mean its got five doors. All is good... Something to look forward to ...

Didn't get around to doing one this year, a post that is. Was a good year all in all.

Things I did do, saw number one get married, lowered my camper, had lots of weekends away with her in doors. And worked like a dog, again. Really need to get that back into spec. Maybe the new year can help me there. Oh yes Monte Carlo or bust...

So what's planned in 2018 ... So in January alone, two theatre trips, church stuff, start of Crafty Craft planning, newly restored VW engine.. And a potential sale of Caroline. Let's see. Moped Rally with Josh ...

Weekend at the end of the month I'm at dinner with Only Fools in Birmingham. More to come on that one. so, back to alittle bible reading, blogging and getting involved. Just the bike to dust off now :-)
Another year gone, we're away in the Midlands at Tres's for New Year celebrations this year. 80s party to finish it off.

Pleased it's ended to be honest not been a very good year. Way too much work for me to do through the year. Hope the new year brings more peace and quiet so I can get back to a varied life, not just a life of toil.

Lots planned, all sorts doing, brewery visit, trip to Bath, Bens wedding and moped trip. All my time off is going to be to do stuff for me this year.

Thats it I'm out .. not much to say about 2016.

So Omid Djalili tonight at Arlington Arts, what a great set that was. Very funny, pretty much everything covered, from equality, race, terrorism all wrapped up with some great humour. Katie Price copped it too…
Will defiantly go see him again on his next visit. Can recommend his show, find him on @omid9
Lots done today, men's breakfast first, listening to Rev Mark speak of his weight loss and sabbatical. Quite a journey he took himself on with the time he spent walking and trying to lose extra weight.
Followed up with planning meeting for the new Kitchen at Church. Lots of work to be done there, not sure it will go as they want but let's see. My time now to contribute a bit and help where possible.
Bicester village with Dominik and Layla and Chloe. Got them all a gift and enjoyed the day in the sunshine. Followed by Carvery at Toby and a pint. Good day today, settling into the evening with a slice of Pizza and some TV. Babysitting Layla tonight. And of course hot tub will come later … All is good.

Tonight we discussed a visit to Dudley and Michelle asked that we don't stay at the Station Hotel. An old establishment that's had better days. When Joshua exclaimed "There's nothing wrong with the hotel, the bathrooms at bit scabby but you don't really need that, do you?"

Well Josh, we like to wash and be clean, so yes we do need a bathroom. Never mind matey one day you'll learn that it's an option in life not a chore forced by mummy and daddy to be clean :-)

Maybe a girl friend could help you....

Early start and drive down the m25 to see the site.
Tons of work left to do, just hope the team can do it. Got some concerns with work, the individual having problems with deliveries and the sheer fact they can't or won't stop blaming. She falls short on so many counts but is strong in so many others. She's giving me a real dilemma that I need to think on and possibly something I should be praying in to. Lord I need some help in dealing there, I'll do the bet I can but please give me a nudge if I don't consult the right way.
So it's Wednesday and to moors I'm finally getting the day working from home. I missed cycling tonight withd I have so much the boy, truth is I was in a lazy ass mood and didn't prioritise for him. Need to get that in check and not let him down, his young years are flying by anto do with him.
He's a good boy and I'll help him along with his mum and brother to make something of himself.. I'll drop by again later but for now I'm out. Tracking toward my Midlands trip in a week, youth club first then the weekend at the auction to make some dough for a on the side business or perhaps a future for us all..
Been good blogging, not done it for a while.

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23024573.post-88693557439443603102015-12-31T19:19:00.000+00:002018-01-29T16:51:51.790+00:002015 The End<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Forgot all about doing one of these entries last year. Well didn't forget just didn't bother as 2014 wasn't that memorable. (Actually struggling recalling it now too) The years at an end, I'm in a pub in Newport Shropshire before I go to New Years party at Kay's house. Fancy dress too, think I'm gonna be a super hero of kind. I've got 30 mins to write this entry and go get changed.
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">It'll be good tonight I'm sure, everyone except Tom will be there, few beers, bit of food and home. Couldn't be better, tomorrow a meal with Aunty Kay at Dans pub, try some of that boys food. After all Terry and I tried to convince home to not cook; how wrong were we then?
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">
What about this year then, how many changes I been through. (Que blonde track playing now)
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">
New job, took VM into new territory and joined Arris shortly after, a promotion too. Now got some work to do in the new year to deliver a great service so I can move on in life, you see you got to do your best by your employer so you and they succeed, it's the only way.
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Holiday this year in Mauritious, very nice for our 40th Birthday, great time out there with the Michelle, sand sea and all that holiday stuff. Saw some great things and great places.
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">So, now I'm 40. Not as fit as used to be, that's because I'm not cycling enough. I'll deal with that in 2016... Work life balance restored and cycling and fun with the boy. The youth club we'll grow this year too, make it good for the kids in Thactcham. So, I've got tons of pictures that remind me of a pretty good year so let's look forward.
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Here's to a good and happy new year, with the Lord, amen. Get this new job good, the youth club good, time with the family good... Caroline out in the sun... Happy VW
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Anyways, over and out.. How disappointing and discouraging it is to see the things we love senselessly destroyed by others or, even worse, by our own neglect or failure.

Regardless of how it may happen or who may be responsible, it is hard to go on when everything we have counted on falls down around us. That's when those of us who have the creative power of the Holy Spirit on the inside can get a new vision, a new direction, and a new goal to help us overcome the downward pull of disappointment, discouragement, and destruction.
