Runaways

Wednesday, the boy ran away from home. Blagged a day off school with friends and instead of facing the music back at home decided him and friends will run off. Except he didn't run off he stayed around Thatcham hanging out. The Police got involved and put the feelers out for him and his pals. Tony, Michelle's brother caught one of em and bought him back to mine where he got abusive to the cops so they gave their apologies to us and carted him off. Lesson there is respect the cops and other folks homes or get your arm twisted by a constable. Dominik was finally located and bought home on Thursday. He got ticked off from all directions- at least he's safe now. We got some sorting to do there that's for sure.
Thursday, after getting only two hours kip and having to get the boy back home was needed at work for meetings. Those meetings that happen in our industry every couple of years. So, 1pm placed at risk of redundancy again. There are options though. The deal is to align our teams into others. My official post is on the way out because it no longer fits the business and there are too many guys set in their ways and not changing with culture. This should clean it up. Maybe! Our position has been recognised as a special skill base and is being treated as that too, maybe for later outsource options. Time will tell.
Spending this weekend chilling out and thinking things over with God, way up my options. I have a few. Maybe it's time for cafe sublime or a new role. Have been doing the manager thing for a few months- I think I'm good at it, that's what people are telling me anyways, I've even been asked by my direct reports to stay on! Hopefully I'll get some help and Guidance from God on what path to follow. The answer will be in my prayers, for sure.
Back to the subject of runaways and bad lads, I've got an opportunity to take the boys to a soap box derby to let off a bit of steam. Should be good if they can come. I was gonna have one team made up of my sons, now we can have two teams. The theme for our kart is 'Bullock' like the name of course! I've made a head of a Bullock that looks like a demon possessed Bison to put on the front. Got two prams for wheel and will get some chairs from work and some wood from B&Q... Photos on here soon....
What a week ahead though, meeting on Tuesday followed by Clay shooting, Thursday day off, Friday to Sunday at the festival, Monday at the beach, Tuesday- friends Baptism, Wednesday- my Baptism anniversary and Thursday my Birthday... Bring it on, a week of celebration. Will be great, God Willing..

Gossip... What a band; on Jonathan Ross now!!!
